A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant eager to make an impact in a school setting located near Katy, TX. You will play a vital role in fostering student growth across 1-2 schools, working within a progressive district that values a workload-based model to ensure manageable and meaningful assignments.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid SLPA licensure required
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of speech and language therapy techniques suitable for K-12 students
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
• Commitment to maintaining accurate records and upholding confidentiality standards

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Implement treatment plans, collect data on student progress, and adapt support strategies as needed
• Assist in developing materials and organizing therapy sessions for individual and group settings
• Foster student engagement and progress in line with individualized education plans (IEPs) and district standards
• Work closely with educational teams to promote inclusive learning environments
• Maintain timely and thorough documentation according to school district policies

This is an onsite role with a traditional academic year schedule and a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. You will gain experience in a supportive educational environment known for its collaborative approach and dedication to student development.
