The Role As a Certified Veterinary Technician at Elite Veterinary Specialists, you’ll work alongside our veterinary ophthalmologists on challenging and rewarding cases, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their owners. You’ll build on your core technician skills while learning the specialized world of veterinary ophthalmology. What You’ll Do Monitor and manage patients of all sizes under anesthesia, including patients on a ventilator Prepare surgical sites and care for surgical instruments Maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment Perform venipuncture and prepare laboratory specimens Learn to perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests, with training from our team Support clients with clear, compassionate communication throughout their pet’s care What We’re Looking For A passion for veterinary ophthalmology and a strong desire to learn Empathetic communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members A state credential (CVT, LVT, or RVT) is preferred but not required Adaptability and openness to new professional challenges The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for help A positive attitude and grace under pressure Our Offer At Elite Veterinary Specialists, we believe our team members are our greatest asset.
