Registered Nurse, Medical ICU (Day Shift)ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical ICU (Day Shift) in Atlanta, Georgia.LocationAtlanta, GAAssignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Schedule/ShiftDay Shift: 12 hours per shift, 07:00-19:00, 3 days per week.Job DescriptionThe Medical ICU at Grady Memorial Hospital is a 30-bed unit focused on the care of critically ill patients. The patient population primarily includes those diagnosed with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Melitus, alcohol use/abuse, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. This fast-paced environment requires skilled nursing staff to manage complex cases and provide high-quality care to patients.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously, reporting changes to the healthcare team.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.Utilize ventilators and other advanced medical equipment effectively.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.Required ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, with demonstrated proficiency in ventilator management and clinical decision-making.
