Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

EMR is NextGen 0-8 Patients per day Provider to see All Ages Practice Description: Seeking a dedicated psychiatric provider to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with VCH s mission and values. The role follows the Patient-Centered Medical Home model and involves: Evaluations & Treatment: Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental disorders, and develop treatment plans, including medication management. Medication Management: Prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications and determine follow-up visit frequency. Patient Care & Support: Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and collaborate with therapists, counselors, and external healthcare providers when hospitalization is required. Evidence-Based Practices: Provide psychiatric treatment using research-based methods and ensure completion of PHQ-9 at each visit. Communication & Coordination: Engage with patients, families, and healthcare professionals while maintaining accurate documentation within 24 hours of each visit. Professional Development: Participate in peer supervision and ongoing training to stay updated on mental healthcare advancements.
