Barista PositionWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your expertise in coffee preparation and your ability to engage with customers will play a key role in enhancing their experience at our establishment.DutiesPrepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, workstations, and dining areas.Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their experience.Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling accurately.Handle cash transactions, ensuring proper change is given while adhering to food safety and handling guidelines.Assist in food preparation and serving items such as pastries or light snacks as needed.Demonstrate time management skills by efficiently managing multiple orders during peak hours.Uphold food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices in food handling and preparation.Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and excellent service.RequirementsPrevious barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory.Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are essential.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.Knowledge of food safety practices is required; food service certification is a plus.Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that involve lifting up to 30 pounds.A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
