Job Description:

This position involves working in a telemetry unit, holding area in the ER, where patients are often moved to the MS and Tele floors. It requires managing care for stroke and telemetry patients at a cardio-focused hospital, primarily serving an elderly population with critical care and medically challenged needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide telemetry nursing care for patients in the ER holding area.
• Ensure proper patient transfer to MS and Tele floors.
• Pass EKG tests as required.
• Participate in a weekend rotation every other weekend.
• Possibly float within the hospital as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in medical-surgical telemetry.
• Current IL nursing license.
• Certifications in CPR, ACLS, BLS.
• Proficiency with Epic systems.
