Specimen Processor I
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in Orlando, Florida to prepare clinical specimens for analysis in a high-throughput laboratory environment. The role involves specimen accessioning, sorting, labeling, data entry, and shipping according to standard operating procedures. Evening shift (5:00 PM – 1:30 AM, Monday–Friday).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and unpack laboratory specimens for analysis and route to staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, and pack specimens for shipment to testing facilities
- Perform data entry of patient information in timely and accurate manner
- Resolve and document problem specimens; prepare and store excess samples
- Meet department activity and production goals in fast-paced environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
- Able to pass standardized color blindness test
