Radiology Technologist (Evenings)

Job Summary Business: Boys Town National Research Hospital. In a career as a Radiology Technologist, you will join us in providing life‑changing care to patients from across the region by operating radiographic equipment to create radiographs of designated body areas. Schedule & Location Full‑time, 3:00PM‑11:00PM, with call and holiday rotation. Locations: West Hospital. Major Responsibilities & Duties Operate x‑ray equipment, including fluoroscopy, c‑arm, dental, and portable units, in accordance with radiation safety guidelines. Position and instruct patients for each anatomical view using appropriate immobilization, support, and protective devices. Apply proper sterile technique during procedures. Prepare procedure rooms, including contrast media and barium setup, and administer materials per radiologist protocol. Assist providers during examination and treatment. Process images using digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) readers. Send images to PACS and demonstrate knowledge of basic PACS software. Route images and appropriate history electronically to the interpreting radiologist. Complete clerical and billing functions required for x‑ray studies. Maintain supplies, keeping a clean and orderly environment with aseptic technique and infection control. Report malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate personnel. Orient and train new staff; collaborate with students in the radiologic technology program. Participate in departmental performance improvement and survey readiness activities. Demonstrate behavior consistent with Radiology service standards. Provide patient care and education according to the patient population served. Required Qualifications Graduate of an AMA‑approved accredited School of Radiologic Technology or a U.S. Military program of Radiologic Technology. ARRT certification in Radiography.
