About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Chemotherapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Oncology-specific experience License: Required Certifications: Required certifications include BCLS, ONS Chemo/Bio Card Must-Have: - Central line experience - Ability to administer chemotherapy Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in a cancelation. Required skills include administering chemotherapy and central line experience. Preferred certification is OCN. Patient ratios are 1:5. The shift is 8-hour days from 07:45 to 17:15. A total of 40 hours can be offered per week. No weekends are required. Patients being treated are adults over the age of 18, specifically in hematology and medical oncology. There are currently 10 infusion chairs to accommodate social distancing. The unit uses various systems for operations, including Pyxis and Epic. Mixing techs or pharmacy handle all mixing procedures. Orientation will vary by skill level and take place during the first week. Scrubs are not provided; navy blue is required. Pre-shift COVID screening is mandatory. There is no call requirement. Floating within the assigned facilities may occur based on operational needs. Candidates must be comfortable with floating and have no restrictions or special requests. All candidates must abide by fatigue policies, which limit working over 60 hours per week.
