13 weeks, no call, BLS 1:4 couplet ratio

97-bed postpartum unit, Level IV maternal and Level III NICU

Annual birth volume 12,000, approximately 1,000 births/month. 5th largest birth volume in the nation and highest in HCA.

Require the NRP Advanced Provider certification (not the Essentials)

Shift: AM and PM, no call, rotating weekends

General Information:

Number of Beds: 24

Number of Staff: 26

Type of Staff: 1 charge, 4 RNs, 1 clerk during day. No PCTs at night

Patient Ratios: 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity

Type of Equipment: EMR Meditech and CPN

Permanent Positions Available? Yes

Skill Set:

Most recruited for: Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first

Typical Procedures Performed: Non stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, Magnesium administration, heparin drips

Best Personality Fit: Teamwork oriented, good communication skills

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
