Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), every other weekend with potential variation based on facility needs. Floating to similar units or other facilities may be required based on census.

Highlights:

• 20-bed critical care telemetry unit with daily census of approximately 14 patients
• Day shift patient ratio of 1:5 with volume-managed workload
• EPIC electronic medical records system utilized facility-wide
• 24 hours of orientation provided at assignment start
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• Pre-assignment modules are compensated (up to 16 hours) and completed prior to start date

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or telemetry nursing experience preferred (1-year experience considered based on qualifications)
• At least 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with vasoactive medications, antiarrhythmic therapy, and thrombolytic administration
• Competency in defibrillation/cardioversion and EKG interpretation
• Current flu vaccination required (no exemptions available)
• Must reside 50+ miles from the contracted facility to qualify for this travel position

Patient Population:

You will care for adult and geriatric inpatients with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease. The patient population includes cardiac patients requiring IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation management.
