DNA Synthesis Technician I/II
Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins Genomics seeks a DNA Synthesis Technician to operate and maintain oligonucleotide synthesizers and support downstream processing in a 24/7 manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY. The position involves equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and compliance with quality and safety standards on an assigned fixed shift.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, operate, and maintain DNA/RNA synthesizers on proprietary and commercial platforms
- Perform downstream oligo processing including pre-treatment and deprotection steps
- Use LIMS system for tracking orders, documenting work, and maintaining production records
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on synthesis equipment
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Requirements
- Associate degree minimum or equivalent; bachelor's degree in science preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with precision
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision in fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift 35+ pounds regularly
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Excel
- Willingness to learn basic synthesizer troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
