Collaborative clinical and research opportunities are encouraged across all Mayo Clinic locations and offer exposure to one of the nation’s largest neurosurgical clinical volumes between the Arizona, Minnesota, Florida, and Mayo Health System campuses.

In July 2025, the campus opened the Duan Family Building, a 228,000‑square‑foot facility that will house the first carbon ion therapy program in the Western Hemisphere, with patient treatments anticipated to begin in 2028 pending FDA approval.

Mayo Clinic has also acquired 201 acres to develop Discovery Coast, a Healthcare Innovation District and Biotechnology Park focused on advancing translational research, academic partnerships, and innovation—particularly in cancer and neurologic disorders.
