Projects are a balance of local as well as across the region and the globe. With a team of experienced staff in specific market areas such as Healthcare, Datacenters, Science and Technology, Commercial Real Estate, Finance, Hospitality, Industrial, Municipal, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Federal facilities; we provide engineering excellence for our clients. We are searching for Structural BIM-Digital Design Team Lead at either our Folsom or Walnut Creek office.In the role of Structural BIM-Digital Design Team Lead, we'll count on you to: Function as a structural digital design – building information modelling (BIM) lead for key projectsExecute all structural digital delivery (BIM) requirements identified on a projectBe responsible for the structural discipline model and will generate the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scopeCreate and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for structural.To be skilled with the software used to produce the designs identified in the Digital Delivery requirementsHave mastered structural BIM modelling and how it interacts with other discipline designs.Have an advanced understanding of structural documentation and plan presentation for all disciplinesMentor and develop the Structural Digital Design staff.Accurately model BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D softwarePrepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design within the project scope, schedule, and budget, using the current 3D softwareMaintain the structural model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheetsProduce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all structural modeling output.Perform structural modelling with limited guidance from structural engineer.Assist the Structural Business Class Lead with management and culture of the overall business class by being the direct supervisor of a team of digital designers with varying degree of experienceWork as a collaborative team with fellow Team Leads and the Structural Business Class Lead for work staffing and project proposalsProvide team leadership with a focus on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring, and staff developmentCollaborate closely with structural market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in all key markets including commercial, civic, industrial, federal, water, transportation, healthcare, education and laboratories and mission critical facilitiesImplement, monitor, and support company policyWorks collaboratively with other team leads, business class lead, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class effortsActively encourage and participate in work-sharing and structural practice development with a nation-wide network of HDR Structural Business ClassAssist the Structural Business Class Lead in the recruitment and growth of the business classPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsExperienced in development and management of diverse teamsIn-person office culturePreference given to local candidates#LI-MO1QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 7 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
