Description

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified Oncology RN for a travel contract at a cancer center in New Jersey, caring for patients with hematological malignancies and complex oncology diagnoses on a day shift schedule.

Details

• Oncology unit within a dedicated cancer center, with floating possible across the main campus within the scope of skillset
• Patient population includes hematological malignancies, bone marrow transplant, CAR-T therapy, and solid oncology diagnoses
• Chemotherapy administration is a key component of the role
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend is required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• No block scheduling available
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy (CHEMO)
• Minimum 2 years of RN oncology experience required
• Chemotherapy administration experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Any time off (RTO) requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
