This is a home-daily position with no touch freight, consistent schedules, and strong union benefits.We accept recent CDL A Graduates! (Must have a CDL Class A and a school certificate showing at least 120 hours completed.) We are a tier 1 supplier for General Motors – Ft. Wayne located directly across the street from the plant on the SW side of town.What we offer:$26.00/hr + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!Flexible Start Times (Many start times available)Home daily runs to Fort Wayne IN, Roanoke IN, and moreTeamster Local 414Union Benefits: Blue Cross/Blue Shield – Medical, Dental and Vision.Paid Holidays, Vacation and Personal TimeMatch up to 3% on 401KTime and a half starts after 40 hours.Annual Increases in PayTop pay rate after 3 yearsResponsibilities:Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times.Requirements:Must be at least 21 years of ageClass A CDL6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the last year preferred OR certificate of completion from a CDL truck driving school (TRAINERS AVAILABLE)Clean driving record with proven safe-driving historyNo DUI/OWI in the last 5 yearsNo more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 yearsNo more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 yearsStrong time management & communication skills
