Responsibilities Foundations for living is a residential treatment center in Mansfield, Ohio, for youths aged 10-17. We provide trauma-informed care that supports emotional healing, personal growth, and academic success in a structured and compassionate environment. Our 84-bed facility is licensed to provide treatment for mental health and substance use disorders, including dependence. Through individualized support and evidence-based programming, we are committed to helping youth build stability, resilience, and hope for the future. Website: Our residential treatment facility is seeking a compassionate and dedicated milieu Coordinator to support at-risk youth receiving services for mental health, substance use, and trauma. The Milieu Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of the facility by monitoring unit activity, ensuring adherence to the daily programming schedule, supporting direct care staff, and following all facility policies and procedures. This position is essential in helping create and maintain a therapeutic environment aligned with the facility’s mission: to provide a safe space where residents feel empowered to heal from past experiences and build a foundation of hope for the future. Job Duties/Responsibilities Assist and supports Unit Managers in training employees and managing shift schedules. Proactively supports Specialists on the units in situations of acuity, crisis or other unit issues. Assures compliance with company policies and procedures through diligent supervision and examination of all unit activity/workflow. Ensures that the rights of the clients and their families are respected and protected in accordance with facility goals. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice or related mental health field and one year experience working with troubled youth. High School diploma and four years’ experience may be substituted where allowed by contracting authority. Valid State Driver’s License Certified in CPR, First Aid and Handle With Care (offered during Orientation). Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and policy/procedure manuals. The Milieu Coordinator may be required to physically restrain clients, using authorized hold procedures as a last resort for protection of residents and staff.
