San Antonio OT Aide

Job Purpose:The San Antonio OT Aide at will assist occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic services to patients, ensuring a supportive and efficient environment for rehabilitation. The aide will play a crucial role in facilitating patient care and maintaining the smooth operation of therapy sessions.Key Responsibilities:Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic activities.Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.Support patients during therapy sessions, providing encouragement and guidance as needed.Document patient progress and report observations to the occupational therapist.Coordinate with healthcare staff to schedule therapy sessions and manage patient flow.Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care strategies.Assist in administrative tasks related to therapy services, including record-keeping and inventory management.Required Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required.Completion of a certified Occupational Therapy Aide program is preferred.Required Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in occupational therapy.Experience in assisting occupational therapists with patient care and administrative tasks.Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.Required Skills and Abilities:Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.Proficient in basic computer skills, including data entry and use of electronic health records.Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Compassionate and patient-focused approach with a commitment to providing high-quality care.Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and perform tasks that require physical exertion. #J-18808-Ljbffr LEV AT SAN ANTONIO LLC
