Team members who join our new Harrisburg location will have a unique opportunity to help establish our presence, build lasting customer relationships, and shape our reputation in one of South Dakota's fastest-growing communities.If you're looking for a career where you can make an impact, grow professionally, and help build First Western Bank's future in Harrisburg, we'd love to have you apply!Universal Banker I Position OverviewProvide prompt, courteous, efficient, and accurate service while handling customer banking matters in support of First Western Bank & Trust's sales and service objectives while adhering to the bank's culture of customer service excellence; establish and develop relationships with new consumer and business bank customers.Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in person or on the phone in a timely, courteous, and professional mannerProperly identify each customer in accordance with bank policy and uphold confidentiality of customer and proprietary informationMaintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing proceduresHandle a wide variety of customer banking matters accurately and efficiently; includes cashing checks; making checking and savings account deposits and withdrawals; processing credit card, loan and ACH payments; calculating loan payoffs; redeeming savings bonds; processing coin and currency orders; ordering new and issuing temporary checks; selling and issuing gift cards and travel cards; and wire transfersAssist customers with debit card maintenance and account maintenance; includes name changes, address changes, deposit product changes, CD renewals, and signer changes for business accountsDeepen and enrich current consumer and business customer relationships through identifying needs, providing the best bank products and services to meet customer's financial needs, and using cross-sell and referral opportunitiesEstablish and develop solid relationships with new consumer and business customers through identifying needs, providing the best bank products and services for customer's financial needs, and using cross-sell and referral opportunitiesOpen and manage consumer accounts including Individual Retirement Accounts; Health Savings Accounts; checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit accountsOpen and manage business accounts including checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit accountsResolve issues related to retail banking products and servicesDevelop and maintain basic knowledge of bank products, services, processes, policies, procedures, and systemsActively participate in necessary training sessions and maintain continuing education related to regulatory standardsAdhere to Bank's security and audit procedures and demonstrate compliance with applicable banking laws, regulations and the Bank's policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy ActUniversal Banker I QualificationsHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredOne year of banking experience preferredKnowledge of customer service principles and practicesKnowledge of administrative and clerical proceduresUniversal Banker I Skills/AbilitiesBuilding Relationships – able to grow and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.Communication – excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey information to diverse audiences.Customer Focus – able to understand customer needs and promote the value of the bank's products and services.Detail Oriented – able to complete assigned work thoroughly and accurately.Emotional Intelligence – can navigate difficult situations with empathy and understanding, fostering positive relationships.Interpersonal Skills – can communicate and interact with others in a way that promotes mutual respect and trust.Teamwork – proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve common goals.Willingness to Learn – open to new ideas, seeks opportunities to expand knowledge and skills, actively participates in training programs, and seeks feedback to enhance performance.Technology - skilled in Microsoft Office (Publisher, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook), and social media platforms.First Western Bank & Trust is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
