Collections Representative

Sun East Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Collections Representative to join our Collections Team. The Collections Representative is responsible for performing collection of assigned delinquent accounts by telephone, correspondence and email. This person will always put the member and fellow employees first every day, exemplifying Sun East's Mission and Values in all that you do. Responsibilities Determine an appropriate plan of action for each delinquent account, including letter and telephone outreach. Contact members regarding delinquent accounts, including MasterCard and negative balances, and handle all follow‑up work related to the member contact. Complete follow‑up work for members who have not continued repayment schedule as agreed upon and for appropriate reports. Process deferments on qualifying loan products in a timely manner. Conduct all member contact in compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and collect in a dignified manner. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 to 2 years of previous collections experience and familiarity with collection laws. Good computer skills and excellent communication skills. Availability to work Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with rotating weekends. Benefits Competitive wage, depending on experience. Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
