Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Nashville, Tennessee

Take on a vital role in a dynamic, high-volume surgical environment as an integral member of a thoracic/vascular operating room team. This contract role offers a chance to demonstrate and expand your expertise in a Level 1 trauma setting within a leading surgical department featuring 56 OR suites and a diverse array of complex cases.


Schedule & Hours:

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM), Monday through Friday
• Days worked will vary week-to-week according to departmental needs
• Late stays may be required based on unit demands (no block scheduling available)

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (must have at submission)
• Current certification with documentation required at submission
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Thorough thoracic and vascular OR experience is required
• Proficient in scrub and circulator duties for endovascular cases
• Prior travel nursing experience mandatory
• Experience with a broad adult patient population including trauma, neuro, transplant, ortho, robotics, and vascular surgeries
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, Level 1 trauma environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care during surgical cases on the thoracic/vascular team
• Scrub and circulate for complex endovascular and thoracic procedures
• Take late stays and adapt to shifting unit needs
• Partner closely with interdisciplinary teams across high-acuity case types including general, urology, plastics, hepatic-biliary, and more
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and infection control
