Job Role: Molding Manager – Injection Molding
Location: Snow Hill, NC
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Molding Manager to lead injection molding operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, process improvement, and team development while ensuring efficient molding operations and on-time production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily injection molding operations across multiple shifts.
- Manage, coach, and develop Process Technicians, Supervisors, and production personnel.
- Oversee mold setups, machine startups, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, scrap reduction, cycle time improvements, and productivity.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Tooling, and Maintenance to resolve production challenges.
- Support new product launches, mold trials, process validation, and manufacturing improvements.
- Monitor KPIs, production schedules, labor utilization, and departmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of injection molding manufacturing experience.
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing molding operations.
- Strong knowledge of mold setup, scientific molding, process optimization, troubleshooting, and engineering-grade resins.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Automotive, Tier 1, or other high-volume manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
