Senior Front End Developer

Job Summary:


The Senior Front End Developer (Marketing) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced front-end solutions within the Optimizely Digital Experience Platform. This fully remote role focuses on enhancing public-facing digital experiences by creating responsive, accessible, secure, and scalable web applications. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise digital initiatives and provide technical leadership in front-end best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom templates, components, and themeable blocks within the Optimizely Digital Experience Platform.
• Develop responsive user interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Webpack, and related front-end technologies.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, refactor, and optimize existing applications for performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, content authors, and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile planning, sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and release management using Azure DevOps.
• Implement CI/CD best practices and support automated testing.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, accessibility (WCAG), security, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to client staff.
• Provide technical leadership and front-end development best practices.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional front-end development experience.
• Experience with Optimizely/Episerver Digital Experience Platform.
• Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Microsoft Azure, and Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET MVC (Razor), SQL Server, Continuous Integration, and automated testing.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with Webpack and front-end build tools.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and best practices.
• Experience in Agile development environments and sprint methodologies.
