Fast growing, customer focused bank located in Waco, Texas is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting that supports strategic decision making across the bank. This individual will analyze financial performance, identify trends, develop financial models, and provide recommendations that enhance profitability , operational efficiency, and long-term growth. Reporting to the CFO, the ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate financial information clearly to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Support the CFO in building, maintaining, and refining financial models and reports.
• Maintain budgeting and reporting software to include developing and maintaining existing models/reports, and to facilitate revisions of reports, forecasts, dimensions, tables, etc.
• Prepare, analyze, and present timely and accurate monthly reports and dashboards to senior management.
• Assist Controller with annual budget and quarterly forecast processes ensuring proper GL input, assumptions, and output are accurate.
• Review and understand month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger activity to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Report writing within sophisticated budgeting/report writing software.
• Develop and maintain ad hoc reports.
• Gather data from various sources and aggregate into reports/analytics.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, streamline processes, and improve financial integrity.
• Assist with other projects as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and advanced analytics.
• Stay current on banking industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory developments affecting financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics; CPA license preferred.
• 3-7 years experience which may include financial/data analytics, modeling, KPI and dashboards, and budgeting and forecasting. Could also include, but not required, credit analysis, bond accounting and analysis, and asset/liability management.
• Preferred experience with Cognos, report writing, budget software, Microsoft queries, general ledger, and S&P Capital IQ.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required); database and query skills; ability to research; data management; solid understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and trend experience.
• Excellent attention to detail; ability to thrive in a fast paced environment; excellent communication skills.
