About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its School of Education. The successful candidate will be a visionary and experienced leader, responsible for fostering an environment that upholds the institution's core values and promoting a scholarly community dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. This role involves both academic and administrative leadership, with a focus on strategic planning, data-informed decision-making, and achieving meaningful results. The Dean will work collaboratively within the school, across the institution, and with the community to ensure the continued growth, distinction, and impact of the School of Education. Applicants for the Dean position must have an earned doctorate or other terminal degree, a distinguished record in teaching, scholarship, and service, and significant experience in academic administration. Preferred qualifications include leadership experience in K-12 and/or higher education, K-12 teaching experience, and a strong capacity to advance the institution's mission and strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of emerging opportunities in teacher preparation and public service, a commitment to student success, and a proven ability to build effective relationships both within the institution and with external constituencies. The Dean should also demonstrate sound judgment in budgeting and resource allocation, a commitment to academic quality, and the ability to lead with integrity, respect, and transparency.
