Software Development Engineer, Kiro

Salary: $168,400 - 168,400 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software programming language.
• We require 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture work for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We require experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
• Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Preferred: a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.

• We will shape the technical direction and architecture of Kiro.
• We will work directly with customers to identify real-world development challenges and turn them into product capabilities.
• We will build and run production systems using modern CI/CD practices to support reliability and performance.
• We will make architectural decisions around how an agent manages sessions, state, and context.
• We will develop features that change how software is built, with attention to responsiveness, ergonomics, and cross-platform behavior.
• We will balance innovation with operational excellence and AWS standards for scale and security.
• We will collaborate through code reviews, mentorship, and rapid skill growth.
• We will have opportunities to lead projects, define technical direction, and influence team operations.
