If interested in this Pharmacist position APPLY NOW for IMMEDIATE consideration Brittney Blackman | View email address on click.appcast.io | text View phone number on click.appcast.io PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION: Location: Asheville NC 28805 – 100% on-site Payrate: $65.75/hr Required Availability: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday) Shift Hours: Rotating weekly between 9:00 AM–7:00 PM and 10:00 AM–8:00 PM PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS: The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, counseling patients, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES: Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications. Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions. Monitor medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns. Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation. Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures. Monitor pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies. Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Support wellness initiatives such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues. Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy support staff. Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards. PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. Current pharmacist license in good standing with the state pharmacy board. Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and patient counseling skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Experience supervising pharmacy staff is preferred. Experience with medication compounding and sterile preparation is a plus. Take the Next Step!
