The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the data architecture specifically for marketing analytics and insights. This role focuses on creating a robust infrastructure that supports large-scale data collection, storage, and analysis, helping marketing teams make informed decisions. We are looking for someone who loves to solve important business problems, has a curiosity for technology, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data & Analytics.ResponsibilityDesign and develop data models and database architecture specifically tailored for marketing data analytics and reporting within a data warehousing environmentWork closely with marketing teams to understand their data needs and translate business requirements into technical specificationsImplement and maintain scalable and efficient data warehouses and data marts that support various marketing functions, including campaign management, customer segmentation, and ROI analysisOptimize data flows and architecture to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and quality, ensuring data is available for real-time and batch processingDevelop and enforce best practices and standards for data modeling, data extraction, and data loading into the data warehouseCollaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure that the data architecture supports the goals of the marketing team while aligning with the overall business strategyPrepare and maintain documentation of data architectures, configurations, and processesStay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data warehousing and marketing technologies to continuously improve the data infrastructureJob DesignationHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldMaster's degreeExperience with database structure principles, data modeling, and metadata management12+ years of proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role with a focus on data warehousing and marketing data analyticsExperience designing data platforms for large-scale data and diverse data architectures, including warehouses, lake houses, and integrated data storesExperience in marketing data and analytics, including attribution models, propensity models, segmentation, contact & customer databases, and campaign trackingExperience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Iterable, Eloqua) and their integration with data warehousesExperience with a variety of technologies: SQL, Bash, Python, Java, Spark, AWS, DataOps, DevSecOps, data stacks like Airflow, dbt, and data stores like Snowflake, AuroraExperience with data security (including PHI and PII), as well as data privacy regulations (CCPA and GDPR)Experience addressing data-related challenges through analytical problem-solving and aligning data architecture with organizational business goals and objectivesExperience with analytics techniques using ML and AI to assist data scientists and analysts in deriving insights from dataExperience managing projects effectively, planning tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $186,100.00 - $300,550.00 base salaryWashington State: $178,900.00 - $262,825.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
