Cardiac Electrophysiology Faculty Opportunity

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Cardiac Electrophysiologist faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank to join an existing group of four cardiac electrophysiology faculty members.

Job Duties

• Direct procedural, inpatient, and outpatient clinical care
• Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
• University/public service
• Regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities

The incumbents should be able to provide expert clinical care in the field of electrophysiology. Training is required in the specific areas of lead extraction, advanced ablations, left atrial appendage occlusion, and device implantations.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and nurse practitioners in one of the most highly regarded Cardiovascular Programs in the United States.

Baylor College of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, has two 3-year fellowships in cardiology programs and a 1-year fellowship in interventional cardiology.

Minimum Qualifications

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or D.O. or equivalent degree
• Board-certified in cardiovascular disease and board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Excellent clinical and procedural skills
• Willingness to actively participate in medical education
• Interest in clinical research
• Eligible for a Texas medical license

Faculty appointment with Baylor College of Medicine will be commensurate with the applicant's background and accomplishments. Baylor College of Medicine provided a reasonable salary estimate for this position of $400,000.
