Position Overview The Zone Team Leader (ZTL) provides guidance and direction for the successful operation of a particular zone of the overall retail sales floor of a store location. The ZTL oversees a team passionate about merchandising and selling merchandise while ensuring an exceptional associate and customer experience. Responsibilities include all aspects of merchandising and customer service oversight. Primary Responsibilities Execute established procedures for the assigned store zone, including merchandising, power aisle compliance, MOS/GVC/Ollie's Follies, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery. Ensure store standards, Ops Center compliance, seasonal transition planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet all operational expectations. Oversee the Door to Floor process to ensure merchandise is planned for, received properly, and the sales floor is stocked in a timely manner. Supervise associates operating within the assigned zone. Provide daily tasks to associates and ensure they are productive. Maintain customer service standards that meet company expectations. Schedule and staff for the unload/processing of merchandise to the sales floor efficiently. Communicate company directives and programs to store associates and ensure follow‑up items are completed accurately and timely. Perform all functions to open and close the store when needed. Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (required). Minimum of two years’ retail experience in a supervisory role within a mid‑size to large retail or service‑oriented business. Ability to work on site/in person during evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Sound judgment and ability to preserve confidentiality. Accuracy and attention to detail. Organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities within strict timeframes and deadlines. Knowledge of industry terms and processes. Effective communication and delegation skills. Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Push and pull up to 35 pounds. Stand for extended periods. Bend and twist frequently. Grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently. Squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally.
