Senior Electrical Engineer

An innovative technology company is seeking an experienced Ph.D. level Electrical Engineer to lead and contribute to advanced R&D programs focused on high-voltage electrical and power systems. This role will provide deep technical and scientific expertise, lead research initiatives, develop novel electrical technologies, and collaborate across engineering and research teams to translate fundamental research into practical, high-performance systems. Responsibilities: Lead and contribute to advanced research programs involving high-voltage electrical and power systems. Develop, analyze, and optimize high-voltage electrical architectures, power systems, and related technologies. Conduct independent research and develop novel approaches to complex electrical engineering challenges. Collaborate with Engineering, Research, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to transition research concepts into practical technologies. Design and execute experiments, simulations, and technical studies to validate new concepts and system performance. Lead technical projects and communicate research findings through technical reports, presentations, and publications. Mentor engineers and researchers and contribute to the development of a high-performing technical organization. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. Strong research background in electrical engineering, with demonstrated experience conducting independent and collaborative R&D. Experience researching high-voltage electrical systems, power systems, or closely related technologies. Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, power systems, and high-voltage phenomena. Experience developing and analyzing complex electrical systems through experimental, analytical, and/or computational methods. Preferred Qualifications: Experience conducting research at a national laboratory or other advanced R&D organization. Experience with high-voltage power equipment, electrical insulation, power conversion, grid systems, or related technologies. Strong publication record, patents, or other demonstrated contributions to electrical engineering research. Experience with electrical simulation, modeling, data analysis, and experimental testing. Experience working in multidisciplinary research environments and translating fundamental research into deployable engineering solutions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
