General Assembler

This role involves assembling products in a dedicated assembly department, working closely with a team of other assemblers. You will move around racks and shelves, use a variety of hand and power tools, and follow blueprints and measurements to assemble products accurately and efficiently in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products in the assembly department using hand and power tools according to established procedures and specifications.
• Move, organize, and work around racks, shelves, and workpieces to support continuous production flow.
• Load and unload workpieces, including bending and lifting materials as needed throughout the shift.
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings to ensure accurate assembly of components.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and proper fit of parts during assembly.
• Perform mechanical assembly of components, tools, and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspect assembled products for quality, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
• Follow all safety guidelines while operating hand and power tools and working in a manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to maintain productivity and resolve issues on the line.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment.

Essential Skills

• At least 1+ years of assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• At least 6+ months of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to bend, lift, load, and unload workpieces safely throughout the shift.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
• Blueprint reading experience and ability to follow mechanical drawings.
• Experience with mechanical assembly of components.
• Ability to use measuring tools and accurately measure components and materials.
• General labor experience in a shop or production setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with tools, materials, and measuring components in a manufacturing or metal shop environment.
• Comfort working around machinery and metal components.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly processes and tools.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, smaller machine and metal shop environment with approximately 40 people on shift, including office personnel. The atmosphere is collaborative and personable, with team members on a first-name basis. You will work primarily in the assembly department, using hand and power tools around racks, shelves, and machinery. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing a four-day workweek with longer shifts. The environment emphasizes safe tool usage, organized workspaces, and a production-focused setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Chute, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
