Job Schedule: Train 1st shift 5:30 am to 3:30 pm, move permanently to 2nd shift 3:15 pm to 1:15 am Monday - ThursdayLocation: 1524 E 14 Mile Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071About us: MNP is an award-winning fastener manufacturer specializing in diameters from M3 to M24. About the role of a Toolmaker: The Toolmaker's purpose is to construct precision tools or dies that are used to cut, shape, and form metal and other materials. They produce jigs and fixtures and gauges and other measuring devices.Responsibilities of a Toolmaker:Cut and shape tools with lathes and cutting machines Proficiently run a Bridgeport, OD/ID Grinders, and other Surface GrindingmachinesUse precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers to check the tool's dimensionsMonitor Machines to ensure efficient run rates, identify repairs and suggestimprovementsBenching and Polishing experience a plus Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role of a Toolmaker:Mechanically inclinedAble to use hand tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, etc.Possess basic computer skillsAble to commit to perfect attendance during the training scheduleAble to read job instructionsAble to complete required paperworkAble to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, and sit as needed throughout the day Able to communicate clearly and effectivelyBenefits of a Toolmaker: Along with competitive pay, MNP offers employees BCBS medical, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, life insurance, flexible spending account, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) and 401(k) match, discretionary profit-sharing.
