Lead EVS Technician

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Supervises EVS staff work activities to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the hospital.


• Makes staff assignments and delegates work requests. Starts each shift ensuring coverage of all assignments/units.


• Monitors staff performance, correcting and retraining as necessary. Reports concern to manager.


• Trains all new EVS staff.


• Assists with interviewing, hiring, coaching, and evaluation activities as directed.


• Communicates with customers to resolve problems


• Orders linen and maintains linen room. Collects and transport clean and soiled linen.


• Orders supplies and maintains supply room.


• Maintains buildings by performing such tasks as high/low dusting, toilet and shower cleaning and sanitizing, making beds, window cleaning, cafeteria clean up, cleaning walls and removing trash


• Maintains floors by mopping, buffing, shampooing, vacuuming, and sweeping; may be required to strip and wax floors


• Cleans, sanitizes and stores equipment according to the procedure


• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures


• Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct


• Conduct reflects the Company's values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct


• Performs other duties as requested or required
What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer two years' experience in a housekeeping capacity in a hospital and / or healthcare facility.
