Barista Position at Atlantic Fields Club

This role is based at Atlantic Fields Club, a Discovery Land Company property located just outside Hobe Sound, Florida. Atlantic Fields is seeking a Barista to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The Golf House Barista creates exceptional member and guest experiences by combining expert coffee craftsmanship with genuine hospitality. As one of the first and last interactions of the day, this role brings warmth, energy, and meticulous attention to detail to every beverage and every encounter. The Barista embodies the Atlantic Fields commitment to exceptional hospitality, creating memorable moments that enhance each member's and guest's experience while reflecting the club's standard of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with coffee & beverage craftsmanship
• Maintaining expert knowledge of beans, roasts, brewing methods and seasonal menus.
• Maintain expert knowledge in the operation, care, and maintenance of all coffee and beverage equipment, including espresso machines, milk frothers, bean grinders, matcha preparation tools, and other specialty beverage equipment.
• Deliver intuitive, anticipatory service by engaging with members and guests, providing personalized beverage recommendations, and accurately processing transactions through the TEI point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Prepare and serve a full range of espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and seasonal specialties following AF standards and recipes.
• Maintain consistency in drink presentation, temperature, and flavor profile.
• Curate, prepare, and promote signature Golf House beverages that showcase Atlantic Fields' local and seasonal inspirations, including ingredients sourced from the AF Farm, fresh citrus infusions, and other thoughtfully selected regional flavors.
• Support bar and beverage operations during club events, special activations, and member experiences, ensuring exceptional service and seamless execution.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the barista station, equipment, and seating area at all times.
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Manage daily inventory, restocking, and rotation of items; communicate needs promptly to management.
• Complete all assigned opening and closing duties while ensuring the Golf House is fully prepared to deliver an exceptional experience for the first tee time of the day.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the club and ensure operational excellence.

Skills and Qualifications

• Prior barista or caf experience preferred; specialty coffee knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards
• Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service

• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and shifts greater than eight (8) hours in length
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions; standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving for extended periods; and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
