Software/Web Developer

Overview Kentro is seeking experienced Software and Web Developers to build scalable and modern applications, develop user experiences, and support innovative technology solutions. Candidates should have strong technical expertise, problem‑solving abilities, and experience collaborating across teams. Location: Onsite in St. Louis, MO Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications, software platforms, or enterprise systems. Build responsive and user‑friendly front‑end applications using modern frameworks and technologies. Develop back‑end services, APIs, and integrations to support scalable and secure applications. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including developers, designers, project managers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders. Support Agile/SCRUM software development methodologies and participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues. Work with databases, data models, and application integrations. Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices. Manage multiple competing priorities while delivering high‑quality technical solutions within project timelines. Develop applications within cloud, enterprise, or regulated environments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in software development, web development, or application engineering roles. Experience with one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, PHP, or similar technologies. Experience developing modern web applications using front‑end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue. Familiarity with back‑end development frameworks, RESTful APIs, and database technologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills. Highly polished communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast‑paced development environments. Nice to Haves Active U.S. security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one). Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and secure software development principles.
