In this role, you will collaborate across disciplines interfacing directly with IC design, firmware, and marketing teams to build intuitive, customer-facing software that unlocks the full potential of our silicon. If you thrive on cross-functional problem solving, master multiple programming paradigms, and want to work in an environment with zero artificial barriers to your growth, we want to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software that meets the needs of both customers and internal teamsGather and drive clarity on software requirements from diverse groups including customers, application engineers, hardware, and firmware engineersContribute to both existing and new projects, covering a broad range of languages and scope. We use Java, Kotlin and Python, Typescript/ReactCollaborate with applications and systems engineers to troubleshoot systems failures and propose software remediesParticipate in code reviews for fellow team membersQualifications8+ years of software development experience covering breadth and depth Technical expertise in Java programming language with strong preference for those with Kotlin knowledgeExperience with JavaFX or GUI development very strongly preferred including exposure to JavaScript or TypeScriptAbility to investigate and apply new technologies to enhance the developer experienceExecutes creative software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsStrong understanding of Software Architecture and Design principles, Behavior-Driven Development and unit testingMust have highly developed written and verbal cross-functional communication skillsUnderstanding of DevOps including JIRA, Confluence and GitLab preferredExperience with basic electronics, microcontroller programming and bus communications strongly preferredEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer EngineeringAdditional InformationRenesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
