HVAC Mechanic Opportunity

This is the kind of role where your skills actually matter. We're seeking a hands-on HVAC Mechanic for a 2nd Shift role at a well-established candy manufacturing facility in Forest Park, IL.

This facility has been a staple of the Forest Park community for decades and manufactures some of the most recognizable candy brands in the country. The operation is large-scale, fully onsite, and has been growing every year. Safety is taken seriously here, the culture is positive, and maintenance is not an afterthought.

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

HVAC Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems including condensers, air handling units, refrigerant circuits, chiller systems, and dehumidification equipment.
• Inspect, service, and repair steam systems including generators, pumps, steam traps, valves, and distribution piping.
• Service compressed air systems including compressors, blowers, air dryers, and filtration components.
• Perform water quality testing and manage water treatment programs to protect equipment and maintain compliance.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance across all utility systems and respond quickly to equipment issues to keep production running.

Schedule: 4pm-4:30am, rotating schedule

Hourly Compensation: $38/hr + $1 differential

HVAC Mechanic Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on HVAC or facilities maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressed air, steam systems, chillers, or dehumidification equipment.
• Ability to braze, solder, perform pipe work, and read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• EPA refrigerant handling knowledge.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours, rotational days off, and weekends or holidays as needed.
