Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state license or compact license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Open to first-time travelers - Required skills include assessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, bowel obstruction care, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, cerebrovascular accident care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula use, insulin management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, medical/surgical experience, mood disorders management, telemetry monitoring, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, substance withdrawal care, tracheostomy care, and wound care. Description: This position involves providing nursing care to patients in a medical surgical setting. Daily responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams. The RN will work with a patient ratio of 1:6-7. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating to meet facility needs may be necessary. The ideal candidate must possess critical thinking skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent patient communication and adaptability to changing conditions are vital. The facility has 28 inpatient beds and utilizes Epic for charting. Free parking is available for all staff. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during severe weather events.
