Wire EDM Technician New Standard Corporation
Location: Hellam, PA | Full-Time; 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm) | Tool & Die Department
We're hiring a skilled Wire EDM Technician to program, set up, and operate EDM machines (including 4-axis) for high-precision die components and fixtures. You'll work from CAD files or manually, ensuring quality and tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and run EDM machines from SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or DXF files
- Perform troubleshooting & preventive maintenance
- Use hole popper to create start holes in die blocks
- Inspect components and ensure quality specs are met
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Tool & Die Apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- 3+ years Wire EDM operation experience (preferred)
- Advanced blueprint reading, GD&T, and measurement skills
- CAD/CAM proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSite CAD)
