Assembly Technician

Atlas Pressure Control

Atlas Pressure Control provides oilfield pressure-control equipment and services, with a focus on wellhead and drilling and production solutions. This role supports the work that keeps critical equipment ready for use by helping ensure products are assembled, tested, maintained, and prepared to meet operational requirements.

As an Assembly Technician, you will play an important part in the preparation and upkeep of wellhead and frac rental equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, values safe work practices, and is comfortable contributing to day-to-day shop operations that support the broader business.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, test and paint wellhead and frac rental equipment.
  • Practice safe work habits and comply with quality, safety, health and environmental policies.
  • Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify function and conformance.
  • Position and align components for assembly manually or using hoists.
  • Torque connections using manual and hydraulic torque wrenches.
  • Adjust, repair, rework or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings or standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and lubricate parts or components.
  • Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED; or a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • 3+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with drilling and production equipment.
  • Knowledge of wellhead and frac rental equipment.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 10 lbs, frequently lift up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Able to work in an inspection and assembly environment with occasional exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, electrical equipment, and high-pressure testing.
