DEPUTY REGISTER OF DEEDS JOB DESCRIPTION

The Deputy Register of Deeds assists the Register of Deeds in most phases of departmental operations.

Duties Include:

Recording, indexing, data entry of most documents.

Assist with Daily cash balancing of fees collected.

Issuance of death, birth, marriage certificates, marriage licenses, and Veterans’ records.

General office duties ie: phone, fax, scan, email

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED

Strong attention to detail

Excellent Computer skills/knowledge

Ability to comprehend new procedures & work independently

Communication skills with public

Benefits:

This is an hourly part-time position in Chamberlain, SD, with a starting wage of $17.00. Wage negotiable depending on experience. May evolve to full time. Benefits: SD retirement.
