Medical Receptionist (Patient Care Coordinator)

Pay Rate: $18.25–$22.00/hour

Location: Livonia, MI

Are you passionate about helping others and providing exceptional customer service? We're seeking a compassionate and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face patients see when they arrive and the supportive voice they hear when they call.

Because we primarily serve an elderly patient population, we're looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and committed to creating a positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors.

✅ Welcome patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism

✅ Manage front-desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out

✅ Answer and direct incoming phone calls with patience, accuracy, and care

✅ Schedule appointments and register patients efficiently

✅ Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through various insurance portals

✅ Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation

✅ Process and track patient orders, ensuring timely follow-up

✅ Make outbound calls to patients regarding appointments, orders, and other office needs

✅ Learn and utilize internal systems and software (paid training provided)

✅ Help maintain a smooth, organized, and patient-focused office environment

✔ Strong customer service and communication skills

✔ Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor

✔ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

✔ Comfortable managing a high volume of phone calls

✔ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

✔ Dependable attendance and punctuality

✔ Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or insurance verification is a plus—but not required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livonia, MI.

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $22.00/hr.
