Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, meal setup, and mobility support. The CNA supports nursing staff by delivering compassionate care across two floors and may be required to float between these areas to ensure patient needs are met efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and meal setup.
• Support patient mobility and positioning as needed.
• Provide basic care and comfort measures to patients on multiple floors.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient care areas.
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Float between two floors to meet patient care demands.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current AHA BLS Provider CPR certification.
• Ability to assist with patient hygiene and mobility safely.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in long-term care or similar healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple patient care areas.

Special Considerations:

• May be required to float between two floors within the facility.
• Work environment includes long-term care setting requiring compassionate patient interaction.

Scheduling:

• Day shift schedule.
• 48-hour work schedule per pay period.
• Shift assignments may vary based on patient care needs and floor coverage.
