Academic Program Success Lead, New Initiatives [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Academic Program Success Lead, New Initiatives based in the United States.

This role is a key driver of growth across new education and workforce development initiatives, with responsibility for both strategy and execution.
You will oversee the full student journey across emerging Allied Health and AI programs serving both individual learners and business partners.
The position combines portfolio ownership, operational design, team leadership, and cross-functional influence in a rapidly evolving environment.
You will turn early-stage ideas into scalable programs while identifying risks, improving processes, and strengthening the learner experience.
The role also involves building and nurturing external partnerships and translating complex operational insights into clear recommendations for leadership.
You will have significant autonomy to create new capabilities, introduce efficient systems, and leverage AI to increase team effectiveness.
Success means building programs, teams, and processes that deliver strong learner and business outcomes while remaining adaptable as the portfolio grows.

Accountabilities:

The Academic Program Success Lead will own end-to-end delivery for multiple new initiatives, combining strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership. You will manage a high-performing team, strengthen program infrastructure, develop partnerships, and ensure that new offerings can scale effectively while maintaining a strong student-centered experience.

• Own student support and delivery across the full learner journey for multiple new initiatives, from strategic course planning through execution.
• Identify capability, process, and infrastructure gaps before they become barriers to program or learner success.
• Design, test, refine, and operationalize repeatable systems that improve delivery and the student experience.
• Translate portfolio-level insights into strategic recommendations, cross-functional priorities, and roadmap decisions.
• Directly manage and develop a high-performing team by establishing clear expectations, accountability structures, and professional growth opportunities.
• Maintain team focus, engagement, and performance during periods of rapid organizational change.
• Apply strong operational judgment to determine when to build a quick MVP and when to establish a scalable, structured solution.
• Leverage AI tools to improve team productivity, problem-solving, analysis, and overall operating effectiveness.
• Support external partnerships by providing Client Success teams with the context, insights, and operational support needed to deliver strong outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with employers, clinical sites, vendors, suppliers, institutional partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Align cross-functional teams around shared objectives, timelines, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes.
• Establish tight feedback loops between teams to enable faster iteration and better decision-making.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to program delivery, compliance, accreditation, partnerships, and learner outcomes.
• Lead experimentation and program iterations that improve metrics such as retention, refunds, engagement, CSAT, NPS, completion, and externship hand-offs.
• Develop playbooks, processes, automations, and other infrastructure that enable programs and teams to scale without excessive dependence on individual contributors.
• Contribute strategic insight into learner personas, human-guided services, partner relationships, and the broader learner experience.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced operator and people leader who has built capabilities in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments. You should combine strong strategic judgment with a willingness to work in the details, influence without formal authority, and create practical systems that turn complex challenges into scalable solutions.

• 7–10 years of professional experience , including meaningful end-to-end ownership of complex initiatives and some experience in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build operational capabilities or processes from the ground up without relying on an established playbook.
• Strong people management skills, including coaching, professional development, accountability, and team motivation.
• Experience leading teams through rapid organizational or operational change.
• Proven ability to recruit, negotiate with, and manage external partnerships across employers, clinical organizations, vendors, suppliers, or institutional partners.
• Strong understanding of how to structure partnerships and agreements that create sustainable value for different stakeholders.
• Excellent operational design instincts, with the ability to think in systems, workflows, and repeatable processes rather than one-time fixes.
• Strong judgment about when to move quickly and when additional diligence is required, particularly around compliance, accreditation, or partner relationships.
• High proficiency with AI tools and a demonstrated ability to use them to increase productivity, improve problem-solving, and produce high-quality work efficiently.
• Ability to break ambiguous and complex problems into manageable components, prioritize effectively, and communicate reasoning clearly.
• Strong cross-functional influence and the ability to drive outcomes through teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable operating in an environment where priorities evolve quickly and processes are still being developed.
• Strong ownership mentality, with a demonstrated ability to follow initiatives from concept through implementation and measurable results.

Benefits:

• Annual salary range of $90,000–$120,000 .
