Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler / Delivery Driver

Job Description

This role combines warehouse material handling with local delivery driving to support busy plumbing operations. You organize and stage materials, safely load and unload plumbing supplies and equipment, and deliver them to job sites in a timely and professional manner. The position suits someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in keeping things organized, and maintains a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the warehouse so that materials are clearly labeled, easily accessible, and properly stored.
• Load and unload plumbing materials, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Deliver materials to job sites using company vehicles while following all traffic laws and company driving policies.
• Verify materials, quantities, and documentation before each delivery to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with inventory organization, including counting, labeling, and restocking materials and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment, including sweeping, trash removal, and general cleaning tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while operating in the warehouse and on the road.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and field crews to coordinate deliveries and resolve any material issues.
• Handle general labor tasks related to material handling, staging, and preparation for job sites.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment used for loading, unloading, and delivery, and report any issues promptly.

Essential Skills

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prior warehouse experience in a material handling or similar role.
• Experience loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more) on a regular basis.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep materials and inventory well arranged.
• High attention to detail when verifying materials and quantities for deliveries.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable work habits.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse environment.
• Comfort driving company vehicles for local deliveries.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse environment supporting construction or plumbing operations.
• Experience in material handling, including staging, sorting, and tracking materials.
• Familiarity with basic inventory practices such as counting, labeling, and restocking.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers, drivers, and field crews.
• Willingness to assist with cleaning and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
• Comfort working with a mix of loading, unloading, delivery, and general labor responsibilities.

Work Environment

You work primarily in a warehouse environment that supports plumbing operations, handling a variety of plumbing materials, supplies, and equipment. The role involves frequent lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading of materials, as well as driving company vehicles for local deliveries to job sites. You can expect a physically active workday with a mix of time spent indoors in the warehouse and outdoors while loading, unloading, and making deliveries. Safety procedures and company policies guide daily operations, and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace is an important part of the job.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayward, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
