Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery / Birthing Center unit averaging 170–190 births per month
• Attend deliveries independently and circulate in C-section procedures; assist with catching and transitioning newborns
• Titrate drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin per unit protocols
• Care for high-risk patients including those with preeclampsia, diabetes, and psychosocial complexities at 32 weeks gestation and above
• Function in both Labor and Delivery and Postpartum settings, performing routine mother-baby couplet care and attending low-risk deliveries as needed
• Utilize the Centricity Perinatal EFM system and maintain compliance with AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines (1:2 L&D; 1:3–4 couplets)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required; prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Must be comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating in C-sections
• Must demonstrate competency with newborn transition and routine postpartum/mother-baby care
• 2 years of verifiable professional references required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
• Experience with high-risk obstetric populations including preeclampsia, insulin-dependent diabetes, and substance-exposed newborns
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience with block scheduling and adaptability to unit-specific workflows and policies
