Electro-Mechanical Technician - Vista, CA

Electro-Mechanical Technician (Contract) Location: Vista, CA. Contract Duration: 6 months, may be extended. Job Description: The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for rapid manufacturing of sub-assemblies and finished systems, including cables, harnesses, panels, mechanical assemblies, and large system builds. The role also involves system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and interaction with test technicians and engineering to resolve technical issues. Duties include interpreting assembly documentation, safely using required tooling, operating material handling equipment, recording system information, adhering to company policies, and working collaboratively with team members. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, self‑motivating, and ready to learn and contribute to the mission. Primary Responsibilities Troubleshoot technical issues of varying complexity. Use electrical theory and signal processing knowledge. Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, schematics, and production documentation. Solder wires, PCBA’s, and components. Use hand tools and power tools. Use measuring tools such as multimeters, continuity checkers, oscilloscopes. Provide assembly feedback and suggest improvements. Complete build records and documentation required. Perform quality checks on own work and conduct buddy checks on others’ work. Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization using 5S methodologies. Follow manufacturing guidelines and procedures. Adhere to company regulatory and compliance policies. Participate in cross‑training activities. Perform tasks with little supervision. Install software on various computer platforms. Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues. Required Qualifications 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing or research and development. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship required). ESD Awareness. Average computer skills for daily employee tasks. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain a positive culture. Preferred Qualifications Current or expired certification in IPC-620, 610, 7711, 7721, or J-standard.
