Respiratory Therapist
Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist, where you'll provide essential respiratory care to patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation, both invasive and non-invasive
- Conduct various types of breathing therapy and patient assessments
- Perform postural drainage, percussion, and bronchial hygiene techniques
- Carry out blood gas puncture and analysis, including equipment maintenance
- Respond to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations, performing CPR
- Demonstrate competency in emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients
What We Need To See
- Associate Degree from an AMA approved program for Respiratory Therapy
- Active license from the New York State Board of Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to transport and lift heavy medical gas cylinders
- Effective communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
