Onsite Inventory Coordinator

The Opportunity

In this role, you will report to the Area Operation Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Duluth, GA

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22.50

What We're Looking For

• Education: A high school diploma or GED is required
• Experience : 2+ years of material handling/inventory replenishment experience is required
• Digital literacy, including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can-do attitude.
• Must be able to lift 50Lbs.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment and enter orders into computer systems, Web, etc.
• Receive inbound shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers.
• Resolve all shipping errors.
• Manage customer's warehouse inventory, including delivery product replenishment.
• Support multiple customers in a geographic area will require driving between facilities to perform inventory task.
• Perform additional inventory management-related functions such as monitoring slow-moving and dead stock, conducting cycle counting and yearly inventories, and reporting, etc.
• Perform shipping coordination activities such as answering customer calls, and handling routine issues.
• Utilize Avantor and customer computer systems in fulfillment of job duties
• Meet goals and objectives: safety, performance, and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
